If You Like Horses
Do you love horseback riding? Our volunteer Trail Leaders provide a safe, quality horseback riding experience for Girl Scouts troops, groups, and individuals. Tasks involve preparing the horses for riding, including grooming, saddling, and bridling. Greet groups upon arrival and provide a riding lesson to include, safety discusson, assigning riders to suitable horses, and provide a riding lesson in a riding rink or a trail ride. Supervise riders at all times during riding sessions. Check horse and tack conditions periodically. After riding lessons are complete, unsaddle horses, return tack to proper location and return horses to holding pen.
